I want to thank you for your son's service as well as your fathers. I am a USN veteran who served on the USS SACRAMENTO AOE-1 (77-79)homeported out of Bremerton, WA. It was a magnificent ship and great duty, yet hard work when they performed UNREPs (Underway Replenishments) for the specific task forces we were assigned to in the Western Pacific arena.

Yeah, UNREPs are an amazing exercise in precision. And anybody who rides across on that little sling has to be really brave or unconscious. I think I die of fright looking down at the water between the two ships!
