Umm, DUH!! And may I just say, PROPS to the place of my birth LUKE AFB!!
Unless you have those pop-up concrete barriers that rise up from the pavement in a flash - which accomplish
pretty much the same thing.
In March of 2006 there was an incident at Davis-Monthan AFB, in Tucson. Here's a bit from Debbie Schlussel's blog about it....(the words are those of a source at DM)
"...Thought you might be interested in this...[two men] tried to run the Swan Gate at Davis-Monthan AFB here in
Tucson. They found out the hard way that the pop up barrier works... The truck went from 50 mph to 0 mph in
about 1 inch. Driver and passenger were both drunk and high, drugs and a gun were found in the vehicle. Both of
them were also unbuckled, so needless to say they had a date with a local ICU nurse. I guess we can say these
barriers are operational. Both men were illegals and have been sent back to Mexico hospitals."
In a later update we learned the gun was a loaded .45 caliber revolver and the drugs were a white powdery
substance resembling cocaine. Arizona Taxpayers paid for their initial medical expenses at a hospital that had at
that time already billed at least $7 Million in unpaid medical expenses to illegal aliens. And if I remember correctly
our then-Govenor also billed the US government with equal success. Wonder what she thinks now that
she's the head of Homeland.....
